Engr George Uforo

Engr. George Uforo is a 1977 Mechanical Engineering graduate with extensive ground-up professional, managerial and corporate business experience in the manufacturing as well as in the oil and gas sectors. He worked for several years in Unilever PLC and ExxonMobil, with his last eight years as an Executive in the later company.
His job experiences include those he acquired as Production Engineer at Unilever, and as Manager, Manufacturing & Warehouse as well as Manager, Projects at ExxonMobil. As Manager, Projects he directly oversaw the design, construction and move-in of the ExxonMobil Head Office Building in Victoria Island, Lagos. Earlier on, as Senior Project Engineer, he was responsible for the design, installation and commissioning of the ExxonMobil Insecticide Plant at Apapa, Nigeria. Some years later, he became Manager, Manufacturing & Warehouse, with operating responsibility for the ExxonMobil Insecticide and Lubricant Blending Plants in Nigeria.
He was consultant, fuels, steam and power, to Dangote Industries Ltd on the Sugar Refinery Construction Project, Apapa, Nigeria.
Engr. Uforo is a professional member of the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC). He has undergone several engineering and management developmental courses and trainings, including the “Exceptional Manager Program” (Mcber, USA) and the “Front Line Leadership Course”.
He is listed in the 1997 “Who’s Who in Science & Engineering, 7th edition” published by Marquis Who’s Who, publishers of “Who’s Who in America” since 1898. He is also listed in the “2,000 Distinguished Scientists of the 21st Century” published by the International Biographic Centre, Cambridge, England. Recently, he was inducted into the “Order of International Merit (Scientific & Technical)” of the American Biographical Institute for outstanding accomplishments and professional excellence
