Professor Patrick Utomi, a dynamic entrepreneur and management scholar, is faculty member and Director of School Development at the prestigious Lagos Business School of the Pan Atlantic University where he lectures on entrepreneurship and change management. In addition to a PhD in Policy Economics, he has completed management development programs at the Kellogg School of Business, North-Western University, as well as at the Harvard Business School, Harvard University, both in the United States of America.
Prof Utomi has been on the Board of several institutions and companies that play key roles in the Nigerian business and social economy. Previous business leadership positions include Vice Chairman of a top five Nigerian bank, Chairman of a top three Nigerian mortgage bank, Chairman of the Manpower Board – a Federal Government of Nigeria institution. He was also at different times Adviser to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Acting Chief Executive Officer of Volkswagen of Nigeria.
Currently, Professor Utomi is a member of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group – a Federal Nigeria Think Tank and Advisory to the Federal Government, and a leading Consultant to various companies on Change Management and Organisational Effectiveness. He is Board member, most often as Chairman, of a number of successful Nigerian companies in mass communication, information technology, agricultural processing, as well as oil and gas.
He owns Utommapp Holdings Ltd, a successful business consulting firm located in Lagos, Nigeria.
